OUR STORY
SoundsTruck NW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization based in Portland, Oregon, bringing live music and creative experiences directly into communities—parks, schools, markets, neighborhoods, and public spaces where access to the arts is often limited.
Founded by professional classical musicians Jon and Yoko Greeney, SoundsTruck NW began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional concert spaces were suddenly unavailable. In response, they developed the SoundsTruck NW concept—reimagining the concert experience for greater flexibility, resilience, and access. The result is a solar-powered, all-in-one mobile stage designed to bring live performance into outdoor and everyday settings.
Today, SoundsTruck NW uses this stage to present its own community programs and to collaborate with partners across the region. Through engaging, family-friendly concerts that celebrate diverse cultures and a wide range of musical genres, we transform everyday spaces into welcoming places for connection, creativity, and shared experience.
